State Veterans Cemetery – Parkers Crossroads Holds Friday Event

A Memorial Day event was observed on Friday, May 28, 2021 by the State Veterans Cemetery- Parkers Crossroads. Although the weather was initially inclement, it cleared up before the end of the event.
Cemetery Director Eddie Long thanked everyone for their attendance, the Veterans Honor Guard of Parkers Crossroads, and James Lindsey, Chairman of the Support Committee and its members, “who have done so much for our cemetery.”
The Veterans Honor Guard of Parkers Crossroads then conducted the presentation of the colors, and the invocation and benediction were from Chaplain Spurgeon Smith of the Veterans Cemetery Support Group. This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, which was led by Chairman James Lindsey.
