County School Board Passes Budget

The Henderson County School Board met on Thursday evening, May 27, 2021, passing the budget for the FY 2021/2022 school year. Director of Schools Steve Wilkinson said that the board would need to meet later in June in order to take care of end of year transfers and budget amendments. That meeting is scheduled for June 24, 2021.
The budget included a funding request from 4-H; $1,000.00 each for the LHS and SHHS Football Coordinators; staff raises at 3.5%; wage increase for cafeteria staff and LPN’s plus the 3.5% increase; salary increase of $5,000.00 for the maintenance supervisor; coaches incentives; a $5,000.00 increase for…
