The special guest speaker for the May 18, 2021 Lexington Rotary Club meeting was Robert Kenyon of Titan Medical. He was born and raised in Gibson County. Being from a rural background and working on a farm, school wasn’t his favorite thing, but he found that he had a talent for working on things.
Titan Medical moved to Lexington a year ago in November. The invitation to come to Lexington was about two years ago, and there were several drivers in the Lexington area that were coming to the Bartlett facility, and he knew there was a lot of talent in this area. “Six of them were driving from Blue Goose,” he said, and he started to ask about the possibility of putting a shop or facility in Lexington. “It went from that to a full invitation from Mayor Griggs.”
There were visits back and forth between Lexington and Bartlett, and then some opportunity from the state of Tennessee, and it was soon put together. “We started with the eight guys in this area, and are now over thirty, and in three to five years, we hope to be over one hundred.
