Lady Lions Suffer Opening Loss in District Tournament

Last Friday, the Lady Lions of Scotts Hill High School would have their opening game of the 2021 District 14-AA softball tournament. In hopes of making a deep postseason run, Scotts Hill found themselves having a shaky start to the tournament. The Lady Lions would face off against McNairy Central in Jackson, Tennessee at South Side High School. Unable to get their offense up and running the Lady Lions would ultimately lose their opener to the Lady Bobcats. McNairy went on the win the game by a final score of 16-1.

Not having their best day at the plate, Scotts Hill would only collect three hits in the game, as a team. The Lady Lions would also commit five errors in the game, as well. Selena Williams and Journey Knowles led the way for the Scotts Hill High School Lady Lions softball team. Both players went 1 for 1 in the contest.
