Lady Lions Hold Awards Banquet

The Scotts Hill High School Lady Lions basketball team held a small awards banquet on Monday morning, May 10, 2021 at Scotts Hill High School. This awards banquet would honor team members from the 2020-2021 season, as well as team members from the 2019-2020 season also.

Starting with the awards for the 2019-2020 season the following members of the team received accolades: Bradie Ivey – Best Field Goal Percentage; Blaize Deere – Best Free Throw Percentage; Ashlyn Buffaloe – Best Three-Point Percentage; Blaize Deere – Most Steals; Ashlyn Buffaloe – Leading Rebounder; Haley Maness – Most Assists; Ashlyn Buffaloe – Most Blocks; Harley Bowman – Best Defensive Player; Ashlyn Buffaloe – Defensive Courage Award; Haley Maness – Most Improved; Ashlyn Buffaloe and Blaize Deere – Most Valuable Players.

Presented with the Senior Award for the 2019-2020 season was Haley Maness.

With the most recent season being completed, this was a time in honoring the 2020-2021 team members. Those who were selected for awards were: Bradie Ivey – Best Field Goal Percentage; Harley Bowman – Best Free Throw Percentage; Ashlyn Buffaloe – Best Three-Point Percentage; Blaize Deere – Most Steals; Ashlyn Buffaloe – Leading Rebounder; Blaize Deere – Most Assists; Journey Knowles – Most Blocks; Blaize Deere – Best Defensive Player; Ashlyn Buffaloe – Defensive Courage Award; Heather Bartholomew – Most Improved; Blaize Deere – Most Valuable Player.

Five players were presented Senior Award plaques for the 2020-2021 season. Those included Harley Bowman, Bradie Ivey, Blaize Deere, Ashlyn Buffaloe, and Journey Knowles.
