Lady Lions Handed Lopsided Defeat

The Scotts Hill Lady Lions would welcome their in-county foe to their home field last Monday, April 26. Scotts Hill was looking to get a bit of revenge against the Lady Tigers after they took a loss to Lexington earlier in the year. This game didn’t pan out like the Lady Lions had hoped for and ultimately Scotts Hill took the defeat, 16-0.
In the shortened game for the Lady Lions, the bats did not come alive for Scotts Hill. The team was only able to record a single hit in the game against Lexington. Scotts Hill wasn’t able to plate a run against the Lady Tigers as Scotts Hill allowed Lexington to score three runs in both the first inning and second inning each. Then, in the top of the third inning, Scotts Hill saw the Lady Tigers plate ten runs. The Lady Lions failed to score in the bottom half of the inning and that would be the end of the game.
The only Scotts Hill player that would record a hit in the game was Kiersten Perry. She would go 1 for 2 for the Lady Lions. Perry would reach safely against Lexington by hitting a single in the contest.
The pitching for Scotts Hill saw the Lady Lions use three pitchers in their losing effort. Selena Williams would start in the circle but only lasted a third of an inning. She allowed one hit and three runs. Karley Bedwell would pitch two and two-thirds innings allowing…
