Lexington City Board Meets

The Lexington Board of Mayor and Aldermen held their monthly work session virtually through WebEx on Monday evening, April 26, 2021.

Lexington Mayor Jeff Griggs said that the May meetings would be in person at the Lexington Utilities Operations Facility at 180 Maple Street. There is also a budget meeting scheduled there at 6:00 p.m. on May 6, 2021, with some items to be voted on.

Under the consent agenda, the board approved the TOSHA Safety Plan, a surplus equipment request from the Public Works Department, and the TDOT Resolution for the road on the south end of Falcon Plastics. This is a project that will be funded by a TDOT grant of $382,000.00 with a match from Lexington of a little over $14,000.00.
