County Commission Hears Presentation on Zoning at Work Session

The Henderson County Commission met in a special called work session on Tuesday evening, April 6, 2021, to listen to and ask questions on a presentation on the zoning process. No voting is allowed in work sessions.

Henderson County Mayor Eddie Bray arranged the meeting with Tom Skehan, of the Southwest Tennessee Development District, after a request by the commission at the last meeting where members of the public had presented some issues in the county that have arisen due to a lack of zoning.

Skehan has been recently working with setting up a zoning map and planning commission in Chester County. Chester County’s next step, after two years of zoning plan development, is the hiring of a code enforcement official.
