Lady Lions Softball Falls to South Side

Last week, the Scotts Hill Lady Lions traveled to Jackson, Tennessee to take on the South Side Lady Hawks. In a game that was close all the way up until the end, the Lady Lions hung in the game until South Side pulled away late in the contest. Scotts Hill would eventually fall 13-2.

The Lady Lions would get things going by scoring two runs in the first inning. Scotts Hill would allow one run in the bottom on the first inning and another run in the bottom of the second inning. Both teams were scoreless in the third and fourth innings. The Lady Lions would allow South Side to score 4 runs in the fifth inning and add another 7 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, as they took the loss.

The Lady Lions tallied 5 hits in the game. Selena Williams, Kaley Eason, Joslyn Davis, and Sydney French, all recorded one hit each and Journey Knowles had two hits in the game. Knowles would record a…
