Thursday night, March 4, was a beautiful night for the LMS Soccer team’s season opener. It was so nice to be out at the complex. The boys came out strong and dominated Fayette West, keeping the ball on Fayette’s half of the field the majority of the game. The Fayette team did make one run on the goal of LMS, which was the only time the 8th grade goalkeeper, Brayden Bailey, was involved in the play. The ball was easily collected, and possession returned to the Minutemen.
LMS was able to give all of their 22 players some time on the field. With a final score of 8-0 in favor of the Minutemen, credit goes to the whole team as they worked together very well. Luke Doll and Tobiah Ware secured two goals each. Adam Zukowski, Hayden Gorski, Dalton McDaniel, and Ethan Armstrong each scored one goal. Ryan Goff had two assists.
