Tigers Finish Season After Loss to Martin Westview

Last Saturday night, February 27, 2021, the LHS Tigers welcomed Martin Westview to their home court. This was a game in which Lexington had to win. Lexington knew that Martin Westview would bring tough competition on the night and that the team would have to play hard and keep the errors to a minimum in order for the Tigers to come away with a win. Although, Lexington had good play on the night, they ultimately fell to Martin Westview. The final score of the game was 52-47, in favor of Martin.

The Tigers would start the game scoring 14 points in the first quarter against Westview. Then, in the second quarter, Lexington would add another 8 points to their total before halftime. In the third quarter, the Big Red Tigers would account for 10 points to start the second half. The final quarter of the night saw the Tigers score 15 points, which ultimately ended the team’s hopes in moving forward in postseason play as they took the loss.

Lexington would be led in scoring by Tristin Roberts. Roberts would score 12 points in the game. Two Tigers teammates followed him by scoring 11 points each. They were Rodarius Transor and Caleb Gorden. Wyatt Davis would add 8 points for the Tigers on the night and…
