SH Lions Suffer Loss to LHS Tigers

In a game being played for seeding purposes for the region tournament that was held last week, Scotts Hill made their way across the county to face off with a familiar foe. The Lions headed into Lexington, Tennessee to take on the LHS Big Red Tigers. In a game that was close throughout each quarter, the Lions had a chance to take home a victory against Lexington. Unfortunately, as the time was expiring in the fourth quarter, Scotts Hill couldn’t mount a comeback and fell to the Tigers by a final score of 68-65.

In the first quarter, Scotts Hill came out and accounted for 12 points against Lexington. Going into the second quarter, the Lions trailed by 9 points. Scotts Hill would put up 22 points in the second quarter to see the halftime score be 38-34, in favor of Lexington. Coming out of halftime the Lions had their way in scoring 18 more points against Lexington’s defense. The final quarter saw Scotts Hill score 13 points on their way to being defeated by the Tigers.

Leading the way in scoring for Scotts Hill on the night was Riley McClain. He would score 25 points against the Tigers and also secure 7 rebounds on the night. McClain also had one 3-point basket, as well. Luke Ledbetter was next in scoring with…
