Lady Lions Continue Postseason Play with Win Over Riverside

The weather was rough last week, and it caused a delay in high school basketball activities all across west Tennessee. The Lady Lions basketball team was affected by the winter snowstorm as well. Scotts Hill was able to get back on the court on Monday night, February 22nd. The Lady Lions welcomed Riverside to their home court for their first game of the district tournament. Scotts Hill was able to secure the victory over the Lady Panthers by a final score of 59-53.
The top scorer for the Lady Lions was none other than Blaize Deere. Deere had 20 points in the contest. Blaize has been a force to be reckoned with all season long and Scotts Hill has surely reaped the benefits from her phenomenal play. Following her was Ashlyn Buffaloe, who accounted for 13 points. Heather Bartholomew netted 11 points in the win and Bradie Ivey finished with 7 points on the night. Harley Bowman put up 6 points for the Lady Lions and Journey Knowles rounded out the scoring with 2 points.
Scotts Hill was able to score exactly 16 points in both the first and second quarters of the game against the Riverside Lady Panthers.
