LHS Student Isabel Phiri Receives Beta Leadership Award

Mitchell Parham, Chairman of the Tennessee Beta Club Council and a member of the National Beta Club Board of Directors, was at Lexington High School on Monday morning, February 8, 2021 to make a special presentation to Isabel Phiri.
Isabel was the recipient of the Dale R. Hughes Leadership Award, a scholarship that not only recognizes three teen leaders annually in Tennessee, but provides for a trip to the Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year, the trip to Washington, D.C. was canceled, but Parham said that should conditions be amenable this year, that Isabel would be sponsored for this summer’s…
