LHS Basketball Season Starts with High Hopes

Big Red Basketball season is finally upon us all here in Lexington, Tennessee. The time has come for the Tigers to take to the hardwood and showcase all their hard work throughout this offseason. Fans, players, and the community are ready to watch both the Lady Tigers and Tigers showcase their talents in front of all the Big Red faithful. Lets take a look into each team and the schedule ahead for them.
The Lady Tigers have one senior on the team this season, Makalya Herndon. Making up the junior class is Candace Butler, Zoey Haynes, Diamond Holland, Sarah Simmons, and Jadyn Yarbro. The sophomores on the team are Allie Autry, Callie McDonald, Holly Simons, and Kylie Waldrep. The newcomers in the freshman class are Emmy Corbitt, Shay Hollingsworth, Ashontai Johnson, Jenna Odle, and Rebekah Wallace. The Lady Tigers are coached by Shelby Bowman, with Rick Johnson and Ryne Bivens being assistant coaches.
For the Tigers, you have Wyatt Davis, Tristin Roberts, Jordan Smith, and Clay Shannon as the senior players. Juniors on the team are Caleb Gorden, RoDarius Transor, Michael Leslie, Tanner Neisler, Lucas Wilkinson, Patton Meyer, Nick Boales, Javier Diaz, and Hunter Brown. The sophomore class consists of Aiden Valle, Rocky Hurley, Devin Bryant, Isiah McClaine, Chandler Roberson, Davion Massey, and Austin Barrett. The freshman class, and the new players on the team, are Ashton Hart, Jack Taylor, Lucas Barker, Ryder Blankenship, Colton Funderburk, Harley Allen, MarQuinn Holland, Sitka Huffman, and Kolhbi Hart.
