At 6:02 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2020, Henderson County Fire Stations 1, 2 & 7 responded to a structure fire on Sand Ridge – Bargerton Road. Units arrived to find smoke coming from the attic and quickly contained the fire. Henderson County Fire Chief Lynn Murphy said that, “One of the occupants noticed smoke coming from the attic and made the call.”
Chief Murphy said that the cause of the fire was electrical, “from overloaded wiring in the attic.” There were no injuries, but…
