Teachers Attaining Tenure Announced by Henderson County School Board

Teachers attaining tenure were honored at the Henderson County School Board meeting on October 10th. Attending were (L-R) Brittany Grant, Bridgett King, Stephanie Wilson, Maegan Qualls and Karen Thompson. Several of the teachers were out of town due to fall break.

The board of education for Henderson County schools met on Thursday evening, October 10th. The board authorized a transfer from the general fund to the transportation fund. Director of Schools, Steve Wilkinson, said that the transportation budget is based upon the collection of the property tax and that every few years, depending on how the year falls, that the transfer is needed to even it out.

Tim Rogers recognized teachers from each of the schools that had attained tenure: Jessica Phillips and Stephanie Wilson from Bargerton; Bridgett King and Brittney Grant from Beaver; Shannon Overman, Miranda Hildenbrandt and Pam Ujcich from South Haven; Karen Thompson, Tylean Jones, Michael Flesler and Maegan Qualls from Scotts Hill High School; and John Huddleston from Westover.
