The Sardis board of aldermen and mayor met on Monday evening, October 7th, with all members present except for Alderwoman Beecham. The meeting began with an invocation by Alderman Holland and pledge by Mayor Hudgins.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as written by all present. The financial reports were read with the following notes: $20,000.00 moved from the general fund to a CD and $30,000.00 was moved from the water fund to a CD. The financial report was then unanimously approved by all present.
Scotts Hill has offered the city their previously used tornado siren as they have just installed a new one. The board will work on delivering the siren/pole to the city and…
