LHS Volleyball Competes Well in Coyote Classic

The Lady Tigers took their talents into Clarksville, Tennessee over this past weekend to participate in the Coyote Classic. Lexington would face some very stiff competition in this tournament, but the team was definitely up for the challenge. The Lady Tigers would put together a string of success and an effort that the staff would be proud of.

Lexington would play in three pool play matches during the course of the tournament. The Lady Tigers would go undefeated in those three matches, as well. The team would beat Hickman County in the first game in two sets, 25-22 and 25-12. That would lead the girls to play Northwest next. Lexington had no problem taking care of business with them as they won in two sets again, 25-8 and 25-11.

In their final match of the pool play bracket, Lexington would face off against White House. As with the previous two matches, the Lady Tigers would defeat White House in two sets also. The final score of those were 25-15 and 25-11.

This would send Lexington into the gold bracket of the tournament. Here is where the Lady Tigers would go up against one of the most powerhouse volleyball teams in the state, as some people would describe. Lexington would take on the host team in Clarksville to begin play in the gold bracket. The Lady Tigers would go three sets against them and come out victorious.
