Lady Tigers Beat Milan for Spot in Regional Championship

With their hopes of making it back into the regional championship game, the Lexington High School Lady Tiger softball team would have to take down the Lady Bulldogs of Milan in order to succeed. On Monday, May 17, the Lady Tigers welcomed Milan to the Henderson County Sportsplex, with the winner advancing to the regional championship game and the loser being eliminated. Lexington withstood the competitiveness from the Lady Bulldogs and ultimately went on to claim their spot in that championship game. LHS would be victorious on the night, winning 5-2.
Thanks to some big-time hits in the game, the Lady Tigers would use that as an advantage in securing the win against Milan. Lexington would out hit Milan on the night. As a team, the Lady Tigers recorded seven hits in the game. Mykenzi Duke would lead the way going 2 for 3 in the game. She hit a single and a double for the Lady Tigers.
