LHS Tigers Enjoy Banquet After Successful Season

On Sunday, March 14, 2021, the Big Red Tigers basketball team was once again at Lexington High School. This time was for the team to enjoy their season ending basketball banquet to celebrate the year the program had. With coaches, teammates, and family members gathering, the team began the ceremony and the awards presentation.

In starting out with presentation of the Valle Award, Clay Shannon was selected as this year’s recipient. Freshman of the Year Award went to Ryder Blankenship, along with Devin Bryant being selected for the Sophomore of the Year Award. The Most Improved Player of the Year Award was collected by Aiden Valle. Collecting the Junior of the Year Award was Michael Leslie and Wyatt Davis secured the Senior of the Year Award.

The Defensive Player of the Year Award was presented to Caleb Gordon and the Offensive Player of the Year Award was collected by Tristin Roberts. Rodarius Transor had a big afternoon at the awards ceremony. Rodarius was selected for the State Steals Leader Award and also was named the Most Valuable Player for the Big Red Tigers basketball team this season.
