In welcoming their in-county rival to their home gym on February 9, the LHS Lady Tigers were looking to close out the regular season with a win. In a very competitive game, that was back and forth until the very end, the LHS Lady Tigers did all they could to succeed on their home court. They wanted to give their faithful fans a win to close out the season but ultimately the Lady Tigers fell to Scotts Hill, 54-50.
The Lady Tigers were able to score 10 points in the first quarter to start the game. In the second quarter, Lexington managed to score another 14 points before the half. Coming out in the third quarter, the Lady Tigers put another 14 points on the scoreboard. The final quarter, which saw Lexington make a push and almost overcome the deficit, Lexington accounted for 12 more points before falling to Scotts Hill.
Leading the way in scoring for the Lady Tigers on the night was Diamond Holland. Holland has come into form as of late and netted 14 points for Lexington. Both Jadyn Yarbro and Makayla Herndon each scored 9 points in the loss to the Lady Lions. The pair of Sarah Simmons and Candance Butler would both score…
