Lady Tigers Defeated by Scotts Hill Lady Lions

On January 15, 2021, the Lady Tigers hit the road to travel across the county to take on the Lady Lions at Scotts Hill High School. In wanting to be able to go back home with a solid win at an opposing team’s gym, the Lady Tigers weren’t able to piece together the complete game performance that they had hoped for. Unfortunately, Lexington was overcome by the Lady Lions by a final score of 46-64.
The Lady Tigers would come out to start the game by scoring 8 points in the first quarter. During the second quarter, Lexington was able to score another 12 points, but the Lady Tigers would trail at the half, 20-31. In the third quarter, the Lady Tigers were able to secure 21 points. The fourth quarter was a tough one for Lexington, as the Lady Tigers only scored 5 points to finish off the game.
Lexington would be led in scoring on the night by Sarah Simmons. Simmons would account for 15 points for the Lady Tigers. Diamond Holland followed her by scoring 14 points of her own and Kylie Waldrep would collect 8 points during the game.
