Bobcats End Tigers Recent Run of Success

Last Friday night, the Tigers made their way into McNairy County. Lexington was looking to continue its recent success with another win on the season. McNairy County High School had other plans and Lexington would find that out firsthand. The Tigers were no match for the Bobcats on that evening and ultimately fell, 64-41.

The Tigers came out in the first quarter and put up 12 points to start the game. In the second quarter, Lexington couldn’t find any success and only made one basket. The Tigers would score 3 points before halftime. In the third quarter, Lexington netted 15 points and finished off the game by scoring 11 points in the fourth quarter, as they were defeated by McNairy County.

“We played a really hot shooting McNairy team that made 50% of their 3-point attempts and 70% of their 2-point attempts. They are going to win a ton of games if they shoot that good every night out”, shared Coach Keith Runyon after the game.

The leading scorer for the Tigers was Rodiarus Transor. He would score 17 points in the contest and also connect on two 3-point shots. Wyatt Davis followed him by scoring 11 points. Both Caleb Gorden and Devin Bryant would each score…
