Couple Injured in Early Morning Baudy James Road Fire

A residential fire on Baudy James Road resulted in two individuals being taken to a local hospital with burn injuries.

At 3:16 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020, Henderson County Fire Stations 2, 3, and 7 were dispatched to a house fire on Hwy. 104 N. at Baudy James Road, in the Mt. Gilead Community.

The first firefighters arrived and reported the house fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters were told the occupants of the home had been injured and had been taken to the hospital by private vehicle.   Firefighters controlled and extinguished the fire. The two occupants of the home were sent to the burn center in Memphis. It was determined that both occupants were awake and alert at the time the fire. One of the occupants attempted to extinguish the fire but…
