The Board of Mayor and Aldermen for Sardis met on Monday evening, December 7, 2020, with Mayor J. W. Creasy calling the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. A moment of silence was observed in remembrance of those lives lost in the bombing of Pearl Harbor on this date in 1941 followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The minutes from the previous meeting and the financial report were read and approved unanimously by all those present.
The generator for the water department has been shipped. Delivery and installation could possibly be completed by December 18, 2020. The parking lines in front of the Sergio’s market were discussed. Unfortunately, it is getting too cold to pave which also affects the availability of asphalt. In the meantime, it may be necessary to…
