Live Nativity at First United Methodist Church, Lexington

On the beautifully landscaped lot between the First United Methodist Church, Lexington, and FirstBank, is FUMC’s annual live nativity. The event was held on Sunday evening, December 13, 2020 from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and has been a treat for Lexington’s Yuletide observance for several decades. In some form or another it goes back as early as the 1970’s, with a slight break before coming into its present format.

Pastor Chris Haynes said that “We’re very glad we got to have the Live Nativity this year, given all the difficulties we’ve had to face as a community. Things looked different this year–many of us wore our masks, and we didn’t have fellowship inside the church for those who were getting dressed for their shift in the stable.
