There was a full weekend for The First Pentecostal Church of Lexington and its congregation, with an open house of the new building on Saturday, December 5, 2020 and a dedication ceremony on Sunday, December 6th. “It was also our anniversary and homecoming event,” said Pastor David Beecham. The founding of the church took place at the Natchez Trace Drive location sixty-seven years ago in December 1953. Property was donated to the church on Highway 412 West and two years ago the ground breaking ceremony was held. At the open house on Saturday, Henderson County Mayor Eddie Bray, Lexington Mayor Jeff Griggs, and State Senator Page Walley were special guest speakers, with Mayor Bray also reading a…
