2020 6-AAAA All-Region Players Announced

All-Region players were named to the 6-AAAA All-Region Team.

With the Lexington High School Big Red Football season coming to an end last Friday night, November 27, 2020, the Tigers football program still has many things to be thankful for this past season. The team was able to put up historical numbers for the program and came inches away from being able to play in the first ever State Championship game in the history of the program. The LHS football players have so much to keep their heads up and be proud about from their achievements of this past season.
The accomplishments for the team and players kept coming in even after the final whistle of the Region 6-4A Semi-Final game that was played last Friday night in Haywood County. The 2020 Region 6-AAAA All-Region players were announced from this past season and the Lexington Big Red Tigers were well represented. We will cover the players who were selected with top honors and those who were selected to 1st Team Offense and Defense, as well as 2nd Team Offense and Defense.
The Region 6-AAAA Offensive Most Valuable Player was Lexington’s Isiah McClaine. McClaine rushed for over 2,600 yards for the Big Red Tigers this past season as a sophomore. The Region 6-AAAA Defensive Most Valuable Player was Lexington’s Josh Williams. Williams is a senior for Lexington and will be graduating in May 2020.
There were Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year for Region 6-AAAA this past season. Both of the players were from Lexington High School and they were Jaylen Montague and Andrerius Swift. Each of these two players are seniors at Lexington High School.
