There is usually a long line waiting for the Free Flu Shot Day event to open each year, but it was a bit of a slow start this year. Leesa Blankenship said that she thought that many people may have already jumped ahead and gotten the flu shot early. The Henderson County Health Department event at the former First Pentecostal Church building on Natchez Trace participated in the statewide free flu shot day on Thursday, November 19, 2020, starting at 9:00 a.m. They normally offer free COVID-19 testing at the site, but postponed that for the day in order to set up to give flu shots.
