Big Red Tigers Stay Undefeated To Start Basketball Season

After their opening win over McKenzie last Tuesday night, the Lexington Tigers wanted to keep the team record unblemished when they headed to Crockett County last Saturday afternoon, November 21. With another dominant performance by the Big Red, Crockett County was no match against the Tigers. Lexington would roll to another victory, and a 2-0 record, by beating the Cavaliers, 66-57.
Coming out in the first quarter on fire, Lexington put 23 points on the scoreboard. In the second quarter the Tigers added another 10 points. The third quarter saw LHS stay to the game plan and they scored 16 points. They finished off the game by scoring 17 points in the final quarter.
“I love how my team is sharing the ball, we are recording assists on about 75% of our baskets and that speaks to the unselfishness of this group”, stated head coach Keith Runyon.
In another dominant performance, Tristin Roberts was the leading scorer again, with 18 points. Wyatt Davis collected 10 points for the Tigers and was a perfect 2 for 2 from the foul line. Clay Shannon followed him by scoring 9 points, making…
