Lexington Wins Postseason Opener Over Lady Bobcats

With the Lady Tigers entering the District 13AA tournament as the number 2 seed, the team knew that they had to take care of business in their first postseason game of the year. Last Tuesday night, October 6, the Lady Tigers started out with a bang in defeating the Lady Bobcats from McNairy County on their home floor at Lexington High School. Lexington was able to win the match in four sets against the Lady Bobcats 25-18, 25-16, 22-25, and 25-18.
The leader in kills during this match for the Lady Tigers was Ellie Smith, who had 17. McDonald had 16 kills, Doner recorded 11, and Mykenzie Duke had 3 kills. Corbitt and Sanders each had 1 kill each for Lexington. Kylie Atchison, who had been phenomenal all season long, recorded 46 assists in this match.
