Lady Tigers Secure Chance to Play in Sub-State Game

With postseason play in full swing, the Lady Tigers Volleyball team is not wasting any time making the most of their experience this year. Lexington was on the road again this past Monday night, October 12, in hope of continuing their deep run during this postseason. The Lady Tigers were going up against a team they have been accustomed to facing the last few years. Lexington faced off against Dyersburg and gave the crowd just what they had hoped for. Being down 0-2 for the second straight match, the Lady Tigers, once again, clawed their way back and took the victory in five sets over the Lady Trojans 22-25, 17-25, 25-20, 25-17, and 15-13.

During the match, the leader in kills was Ellie Smith. She had 21. Doner collected 12, McDonald had 8, followed by Atchison with 7 and Duke with one. Atchison was also the assists leader with 41. Riley Owens had one assist for the Lady Tigers also. Kylie Atchison also led in blocks with four and Ellie Smith had one block for Lexington. Emmy Corbitt was the leader in digs with 19.
