Last Tuesday night, the Henderson County North Tigers took on the Trinity Christian Academy Lions in Lexington. The Tigers took the opening kickoff and moved the ball fairly well until yellow flags started flying due to HCN penalties. This resulted in the Tigers having to punt. TCA blocked the punt, then scored on their second play from scrimmage, to take a 6-0 lead. The Tigers answered with a fairly impressive drive, scoring on a 45-yard touchdown run by Jakob Davis to tie the game. TCA would then answer with a 45-yard touchdown of their own, this one coming through the air. The score of the game at that time was 12-6. The Tigers would answer with 3:23 left to go in the half, with a 14-yard run by Davis to tie the game again.
TCA received the opening kickoff of the second half, but the Tiger’s defense stood strong and forced a punt. After a strong series that showed a mixture of Davis and Alex Wallace carrying the ball, Davis scored his third touchdown on a 42-yard run to make the score 18-12.
