Scotts Hill Lady Lions were back on the pitch last week in their first district match of their soccer season. With new coaches and a young but eager team, the ladies have progressed alongside each other for the foundations of an exciting season. The team welcomed back two seniors and six sophomores. There were three players that were unable to play currently due to medical and extenuating circumstances. The team also ushered in multiple freshmen and new players to form the 2020 Lady Lions Soccer team. Senior Taylor Mills and sophomore Addison Cameron scored a total of 5 goals, with the assistance of the squad from every position on the field to finish the game with a score of 5-0. Coach CJ Kapp said he was proud of how the team has begun to come together despite having a few unfortunate circumstances thrown at them early on in the season. Coach Kapp is excited to see how the team grows and is thankful for the opportunity for him and his wife, Teri, to be a part of the SHHS coaching staff.
