Drive-In Church Option Approved for Lexington April 5th and April 12th

First Baptist Church Lexington will be hosting “Drive-in Church” on April 5th and April 12th, at the Lexington Soccer Complex.

In an effort to allow people the opportunity to worship during the Easter season, First Baptist Church of Lexington’s Pastor, Dr. Clay Hallmark, has announced that the church will be hosting “Drive-in Church” on Palm Sunday, April 5th at 10:15 a.m. and Easter Sunday, April 12th at 8:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. (weather permitting) at the Lexington Soccer Complex off Natchez Trace Drive.
Hallmark said, “We live in a time when the church has to be creative if we are to gather as God’s people. This concept has already been successfully used around the country. We believe this will be a unique opportunity for families to come together in their vehicle, roll down the windows, and worship as a family very much in the style of an old-fashioned Drive-in theater.”
“There will be exciting music and the Word of God will be preached. Families will be together, and we will allow the family’s vehicle to be the barrier from other families so as to practice social distancing.” With the directives from Governor Lee’s office, as well as guidelines from President Trump, churches are not allowing…
