Big Red Tigers Are Back on The Diamond

step back on the diamond after a long offseason for the Tigers. Last year, Lexington was 16-15 overall and 11-3 in district play. The Tigers’ 2019 season was ended by cross-county rival, Scotts Hill in the district 14AA tournament. In this tournament, Lexington was defeated by Chester County to go to the loser’s bracket. After losing to Chester County, Lexington defeated South Side to keep their tournament hopes alive. However, Lexington was defeated by Scotts Hill to end their season. Lexington has been practicing and scrimmaging and the Tigers are ready to make this season more memorable than last year.
Lexington has played in three scrimmages over the past month, including games against Fayette Academy, Crockett County and Westview. The Tigers’ season will officially start next Monday when Lexington travels to Riverside and next Tuesday, Lexington will host Riverside. On March 11th, Lexington will travel to Haywood.
