Lady Tigers Split a Pair

Lexington is officially halfway through their basketball season. Last week, Lexington began 2020 district play. The Lady Tigers now have only nine games remaining in the regular season and all of them are district games. To tip-off their district game streak, the Lady Tigers hosted North Side and McNairy Central last week. Lexington split the pair of games, defeating North Side, 77-23, and falling to McNairy Central, 50-36. The Lady Tigers are looking to continue their high scoring in the remaining games of the 2020 season.

In Lexington’s big win over North Side last Tuesday night, Sarah Simmons was the leading scorer with 17 points and Makayla Herndon followed closely with 16 points. Candace Butler, Kylie Waldrep and MyKenzi Duke all totaled 10 points each against…
