The Sardis Board of Mayor and Aldermen met on Tuesday evening, September 3rd, starting with invocation and pledge by Mayor Joey Hudgins. The minutes of the last meeting and financial report were read and unanimously approved by all present. In an update on the city park, the park bathroom has been repaired and cleaned, however, the basketball goals will need to be modified before they can be installed.
The city is pursuing the appropriate department at TDOT for the installation of crosswalks in the downtown area and researching into the type of crosswalks that will warn of the pedestrian’s right of way. To enhance the safety of all residents and visitors of Sardis…
