TSSAA’s board of control met on Monday in Hermitage for the August meeting to start the school year. There were several pieces of business conducted by the board of control which included hearing an appeal from Scotts Hill High School. After an altercation at Adamsville last February, the Scotts Hill boys’ basketball team was placed on restrictive probation and had to forego participating in the postseason last year. Also, as part of the probation, it was ruled that Scotts Hill could not participate in the postseason for 2019-2020. After hearing what action, the school implemented since the incident, the Board voted to lift the restrictive probation, which allows Scotts Hill to participate in the postseason for the 2019-2020 school year. Scotts Hill will, however, remain on probation for the remainder of the school year.
