The Sardis board met on Monday evening, August 5th, with all members present except for Alderwoman Beecham, due to illness. The meeting began with an invocation and pledge by Mayor Joey Hudgins. The minutes of the last meeting and financial report were read and unanimously approved by all present. Plans are moving forward with Lexington, Sardis and surrounding towns to enable those towns to institute a water connection for use during such time that any of the surrounding water systems become compromised.
