LMS Finds Success In First Scrimmage

Lexington Middle School traveled to Huntingdon last Thursday for a four-way scrimmage against Huntingdon, South Gibson and Gibson County. LMS went on defense first against Gibson County and came up big after only allowing Gibson County to reach the end zone once in a 10-play drive. The Minutemen went to work on offense behind strong running from Adonnis Smith, who set up a 20-yard touchdown run to the end zone by Devan Sherwood. A few plays later, Noah Wood tossed a bomb to Sherwood who out jumped the Gibson County defender for another touchdown.
On the next series, the Minutemen took the field against a very strong Huntingdon team who had their way with the Minutemen in the spring scrimmage. This summer was a little different after….
