The Arbors at Heritage Place recently transitioned to a memory care facility, and celebrated on Thursday, June 6th, with a ribbon cutting at 11:00 a.m., and then tours through the facility at 5:00 p.m. The director, Janelle Coffman, said that assisted living communities may have memory care units on the premises, but the two types of care are not synonymous, and The Arbors offers a unique situation. Memory care is a distinct form of long-term skilled nursing that specifically caters to patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other types of…
