With Mayor Joey Hudgins and the full board being present, the meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 6th, beginning with invocation by Alderman Holland followed by the pledge of allegiance. A presentation was made by Ms. Philips on behalf of the Sardis Senior Center requesting more funds from the City in the 2019-2020 budget. Last year, the city presented a check to the center in the amount of $1,000.00. This year they asked that the city consider an additional amount of $1,000.00 in this year’s budget, noting that many repairs are needed. Ms. Philips stated that the center serves 75 people per month that are regulars to the center. They are contracted to serve 20 people per day, but they are currently serving…
