In a special called session on Monday evening, May 6th, the Henderson County Commission reviewed and approved a resolution to create fire tax districts in Henderson County. The measure will help resolve some ongoing audit findings from the Comptroller’s Office. A letter from Henderson County Finance Officer, Lee Wilkinson, was used to help understand the background for the resolution. “In 1978, Henderson County’s Commission agreed to fund the Henderson County Fire Department.
