Moody Charged with Violating Organized Retail Crime Prevention Act

An unusual charge resulted from illegal activity in one of the local Dollar General Stores near Lexington. Paula Moody, age 48 of Darden, Tennessee, was charged with Violation of the Organized Retail Crime Prevention Act (Over $2,500.00). Court documents say that the “defendant did conspire with co-defendant, Tyler A. Brown, to take several pieces of merchandise from the Dollar General Store located at 16250 Hwy 412 East on several occasions.”
“Co-defendant Brown was an assistant store manager there at the time of the incidents,” according to the affidavit by Investigator Danny Crownover of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department. The court documents also said that the “defendant would take items from the store then…
