VFW Makes Special Presentation at Lexington Board Meeting

Chris Dangler, Commander of VFW Post #1294, came forward at the beginning of the Lexington City Board meeting on Tuesday evening, April 2nd, with special thanks and commendations from Post #1294 to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. “Lexington’s Post #1294 is well known across the state and the nation, and part of that is due to the support of the city of Lexington.” Dangler then presented Mayor Jeff Griggs and each of the aldermen with a special plaque of recognition. Mayor Griggs said that the VFW Post in Lexington deserved special thanks and honors as well, and also thanked VFW Post member, and former Lexington Mayor, David Jowers, for beginning much of the ground work for…
