Lexington Rocked by Scotts Hill Lions

Lexington played host to Scotts Hill Monday night in a key district 14AA matchup. What started off as a pitchers dual ended in a Scotts Hill run rule. Scotts Hill defeated Lexington 11-1 in six innings and handed the Tigers their 2nd district loss of the season. Going into the game Lexington, Scotts Hill, and Riverside were in a three-way tie for 1st place in the standings. Lexington is now 8-5 overall and 5-2 in district play. The Tigers fell to third in the standings on Monday and yesterday the two teams met at Scotts Hill for the second game of the series. Lexington was looking for a win and force a tie with Scotts Hill for 2nd place in the standings. A loss would solidify 3rd place for the time being. The Tigers will be at Milan today and at South Gibson on Friday. The district schedule continues next Monday and Tuesday when the Tigers play Adamsville. Lexington will then have four…
