Animal Shelter Hosts 3rd Annual Birthday Bash

The clouds were thick and the winds were a bit blustery, but it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm at the Frances H. Hensley Animal Shelter’s 3rd Annual Birthday Bash on Saturday, March 30th.
Children raced back and forth from the bouncy house and face painting areas, catching cupcakes and hotdogs on the fly and enjoying the cornhole toss. Adults enjoyed walking some pets and participating in the cake walk. Meanwhile, enough funds were raised to have Animal Control Officer Brandon McPeake don his tutu and wig, while Christa Durfee set him up to perform a couple of Elvis numbers.
