Stolen Car Manhunt on Hwy. 104 North

A state trooper maintained security off a driveway in the 1100 block of Highway 104 North as three other patrol cars conducted a search of the nearby woods for a suspect in a stolen vehicle case. Sources confirmed that THP had been using a helicopter over the site to assist, and nearby the light-colored vehicle sat abandoned with the hood raised and the trunk ajar in a site between a mobile home and a shed on the property. A news tipster alerted The Lexington Progress around 1:14 p.m. on Friday, February 8th, and a search was still being conducted a little after 2:00 p.m.
Lt. Brad Wilbanks, with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, confirmed on Monday that the suspect, Dale Aycox, age 40 from Gainsville, Texas, was apprehended in the area that afternoon, and charged at the Henderson County Criminal Justice Center with Evading Arrest and…
